This morning, a very intelligent man named Paul gave a talk to our team about leadership. He covered many topics ranging from how leadership is influence, love is sacrifice, and how humility is thinking of ourselves less. There is one thing he covered that stood out the most to me though and that was about the power of taking action.

He asked us the question of what we need to delete in our lives that is holding us back from achieving what we want to achieve. Right away, the answer that came to mind was a lack of action. I have always been a planner, someone who creates schedule after schedule, plan after plan, just to get nothing done. I want the path to get to the destination to be perfect, but I'm realizing that it's not possible for it to be this way. It's inevitable for there to be bumps along the road and I'm discovering more and more that I need to be okay with that. After all, trial and challenge is what springs up growth.

Over this next week, I want to be very intentional about taking action. Even if its a small step towards my goals of studying a subject, completing an assignment, or talking with someone about a topic I'm interested in, I want to stop thinking about my plans and just do it.
